Los modelos de negocio de las Instituciones financieras tradicionales se encuentran en un contexto de disrupción digital, para hacer frente a este tipo de contextos las entidades pueden desarrollar capacidades dinámicas, que se pueden describir como la habilidad de crear nuevo valor en condiciones cambiantes a partir de la reconfiguración de recursos. Sin embargo, estas compañías enfrentan retos en el desarrollo de estas capacidades. Acentuando estos retos, se encuentra escasez de investigación empírica asociada a cómo las compañías desarrollan capacidades dinámicas y su aplicación en diferentes industrias. Por lo tanto, este proyecto busca abordar la pregunta: ¿Cómo se desarrollan las capacidades dinámicas que permiten la identificación de oportunidades y amenazas para transformar el modelo de negocio de prestación de servicios para la financiación corporativa en Colombia en un contexto de disrupción digital? A través de un enfoque cualitativo se evaluaron las prácticas actuales del modelo de negocio de financiación corporativa de una entidad financiera colombiana, se contrastaron con las mejores prácticas identificadas en la literatura. Con base en este análisis, se emitieron recomendaciones específicas para mejorar la capacidad de identificación de amenazas y oportunidades en el modelo de negocio. A su vez, se contribuye a la investigación empírica sobre el desarrollo de las capacidades dinámicas en las instituciones financieras tradicionales y se arroja luz al proceso de desarrollo de capacidades dinámicas en el sector financiero colombiano (Texto tomado de la fuente).
The business models of traditional financial institutions are in a context of digital disruption. To cope with this type of context, institutions can develop dynamic capabilities, which can be described as the ability to create new value in changing conditions through the reconfiguration of resources. However, these companies face challenges in developing these capabilities. Underlying these challenges there is a lack of empirical research associated with how companies develop dynamic capabilities and their application in different industries. Therefore, this project seeks to address the question: How do companies develop dynamic capabilities that enable the identification of opportunities and threats to transform the business model of service provision for corporate funding in Colombia in a context of digital disruption? Through a qualitative approach, the current practices of the corporate finance business model of a Colombian financial institution were evaluated and contrasted with the best practices identified in the literature. Based on this analysis, specific recommendations were issued to improve the ability to identify threats and opportunities in the business model. Additionally, it contributes to empirical research on the development of dynamic capabilities in traditional financial institutions and sheds light on the process of developing dynamic capabilities in the Colombian financial sector.
