dc.description.abstract | El camino hacia la sustentabilidad debe contemplar el conocimiento de la comunidad de vida que nos acompaña, y ello implica entendernos mejor como parte de esta compleja red de relaciones entre el ser humano y nuestro entorno. En el momento que vive actualmente la humanidad por su influencia sobre el medio, nuestras acciones son lo suficientemente significativas que se hacen comparables con los cambios producidos entre eras geológicas durante miles de años. Por ello, se evidencia la necesidad y la urgencia de tomar acciones inmediatas, de las cuales depende nuestro futuro y el de aquellos seres con quienes cohabitamos el planeta. Un aporte para lograr la descarbonización y la protección de la vida debe partir de conocer lo que nos rodea. La tarea es lograr pasar de entender la flora y fauna que convive con nosotros desde un enfoque contemplativo, a considerarnos como parte constituyente del ecosistema en que nos encontramos. Para una gran cantidad de constituyentes de aquella comunidad de vida que nos acompaña, la Sede Bogotá de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia es su único hogar. En nuestras manos está el generar las condiciones para que las especies perduren en el tiempo. Nuestra Sede se convierte en parte fundamental de aquella cadena que trasciende fronteras. Esta guía pretende acercarnos más a ese conocimiento de aquellos seres que nos acompañan: mamíferos, insectos, reptiles, aves, anfibios y arácnidos, que aportan a los servicios ecosistémicos que ofrecemos, mejoran nuestra habitabilidad y embellecen el paisaje (Texto tomado de la fuente) | spa |
