Abstract: In this one work was designed and implemented a didactic unit for teaching of the mechanical waves using three strategies: tools TIC's, physical laboratories and virtual laboratories, having in it counts the standards of the Department of Education and helping the model of Ausubel's significant learning. To measure the profit of learning a test was realized before and after the implementation of the didactic unit, this one bases on the interpretation of situations that involve the comprehension of the concepts associated with mechanical waves, and his results were analyzed under the criterion of Hake's factor.
