Resumen: La formación integral en ciencias naturales de un grupo de estudiantes debe garantizar, además del dominio en el campo conceptual, una concepción crítica sobre la ciencia y su relación con el entorno que nos rodea. En aras de alcanzar este objetivo, se propone la construcción e implementación de una unidad de enseñanza potencialmente significativa, secuencia didáctica propuesta por el doctor Marco Antonio Moreira para su aplicación en el aula y con la que se pretende lograr un aprendizaje significativo, con el fin de intervenir en los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje del concepto de energía, particularmente energía mecánica y su relación con el concepto de trabajo, en los estudiantes de grado décimo de la Institución Educativa Lola González
Abstract: The integral formation in natural sciences of a group of students must assure not only the domain in the conceptual field, a critical conception about science and its relation with the environment that surrounds us. In order to achieve this purpose, in the following proposal, we aim to the construction and implementation of a potentially significant teaching unit, teaching sequence proposed by Dr. Marco Antonio Moreira to guide the significant learning, with the goal of intervening the teaching and learning processes of the concept of energy, especially mechanical energy and its relation to the work, in the tenth grade students of the educational institution Lola Gonzalez
