Consideraciones básicas y viabilidad de procesos de membranas de ósmosis inversa y nanofiltración como alternativa para el tratamiento de agua en Colombia

Abstract

Este trabajo monográfico pretende dar a conocer los fundamentos que rigen las operaciones de membrana de Osmosis inversa (OI) y Nanofiltración (NF) para el tratamiento de agua, como una alternativa a implementar en Colombia de acuerdo a las necesidades actuales en el manejo de aguas y posibilidades tecnológicas propias del proceso. Como el tema resulta demasiado extenso se tratan los aspectos más significativos desde el punto de vista técnico como son los principales tipos de operaciones de membrana y sus clasificaciones, los criterios de diseño y de operación; direccionando siempre los temas hacia las aplicaciones ambientales y mas exactamente hacia la potabilización del agua que es nuestro problema central. Se tratan los temas de OI y NF simultáneamente por sus similitudes desde todo punto de vista, (la NF es también llamada OI a baja presión) sus diferencias son principalmente el tipo de membrana y la presión de operación, por eso resultaba fácil complementar más la monografía con las dos técnicas de tratamiento. La investigación comprende también los factores que habría que tener en cuenta para la posible implementación de un sistema de OI o NF en nuestro país, resulta muy complicado abarcar todas las variables asociadas en este sentido, así que se investigó sobre lo que el autor y el director del trabajo creyeron mas conveniente al menos para dar una idea general y que el lector pueda entender claramente las implicaciones básicas a tener en cuenta. Para ello se analizan las ventajas de un sistema de este tipo, la disponibilidad de materias primas, los costos y las necesidades de agua potable como un problema actual y real / Abstract: This work aspire give to know the fundaments to rule the Reverse Osmosis and Nanofiltration operations for the water treatment, like a alternative to implement in Colombia to agree to the actual needs in the water management and technologies possibilities characteristic of process. Like the them result to much large, it hand the more significative aspects from the technical view point like are the membrane operation principal kinds and our classifications, the design judgment and the operation carry on all the time the thems to the ambiental applications, more exactly to the water potabilization that is our central problem. It management the theme Reverse Osmosis and Nanofiltration simulteneosly for its simile from all view point, (the NF is call too RO pressure low) its differences are principally the membrane tipe and the operation pressure, by that result easy complement the work with the boots treatment technical. The research include too the factors to have in count for the possible implementation of a system of RO and NF in our country, result to much complicated include all the variables en the sense, by count it research the things to the author and the work director believe more convenient on less to give a general idea and the reader can understand clearly the basics applications to have in count. For them it analyze the advantage from the this system type, the raw material available, the cost and the potable water needs like actual and real problem.
