Abstract. Diseases of the lower respiratory tract susceptible to management with inhalotherapy are in the main causes of our emergency services carrying high mortality and morbidity; one of the main causes of treatment failure found is the inappropriate use of inhalers, motivation that led to perform the following analytical cross-sectional study, in which the technique of inhalation therapy and predictors of their proper use was evaluated in 118 patients in a pediatric population, finding improper technique resulted in 82% (n = 97), suitable technique 18% (n: 21), missing mainly in item: the patient exhales before inhalation (68%). Among those who felt that the training had not been clear and proper technique who presented a statistically significant relationship (p = 0.027) was observed, showing an OR of 0.310 with a confidence interval of 95%. These results generate motivation to make better use of inhalers education in our patients and impact on their health.
