Abstract: I will pose some concerns about reasons for women to initiate an academic career, reflecting on the meaning of the levels of socialization as a motivation to engage in research, the academic career as a developing story, and as an auto-poietic exercise for a feminine subject. I will go on to consider the socialization of three key strategies during the process: learning and optimizing the actions in the field of academic women; moving from a doctorate as an individual intellectual activity, in isolation, to a space where dialogues of knowledge are constructed; and the task of positioning yourself so that your performance will be significant.
