Abstract. Lantana camara is one belonging to the family Verbenaceae branched shrub, containing a variety of metabolites which include triterpenes, sesquiterpenes, alkaloids and others. This plant is recognized in Colombia and the world, as reported as invasive plant abortifacient activity. Therefore the necessity was born from the traditional uses of this, the activity embryo fethal toxicity evaluate their product intake. The presence of terpenes, flavonoids and the hydroalcoholic extract furanonaftoquinonas 70:30 was verified. Embryo fethal toxicity activity associated with infusions intake whole plant, flower extract was found. Embryo fethal toxicity finding greater activity in the hydro-alcoholic extract, compared to the infusion of the entire plant and flower infusion.
