La investigación pretende comprender el proceso de militarización y su relación con el carácter estratégico de la zona limítrofe Tumaco-San Lorenzo en el periodo contemporáneo. Busca, además, dar elementos para entender por un lado, porque este territorio abandonado y olvidado por el Estado, hoy cobra relevancia en el marco de las recientes crisis del capitalismo y por otro, comprender la zona hoy y su redefinición territorial a través del dispositivo militar. Caracterizar el proceso de militarización de la zona limítrofe Tumaco-San Lorenzo -emprendido por el Estado con ayuda norteamericana por más de una década-, como uno de los principales dispositivos del capital para ejercer el control territorial, es el objetivo que se ha propuesto esta pesquisa. The research aims to understand the process of militarization and its relation to the strategic nature of the border Tumaco-San Lorenzo in the contemporary period.
