Dibujo y ciudad

Abstract

“Dibujo y ciudad” es un proyecto que consiste en la exploración plástica y conceptual de la ciudad, sus formas arquitectónicas y las diferentes posibilidades de su configuración urbana.Dichos aspectos son abordados desde diferentes perspectivas plásticas, tales como el dibujo, la fotografía, el video y la escultura-maqueta, dando como resultado diferentes híbridos de ciudades y arquitecturas existentes y ficticias. A su vez, “Dibujo y ciudad” se vio alimentado por la investigación de artistas y arquitectos, quienes durante la historia han ahondado el tema de la ciudad desde una postura utópica, la historia de su arquitectura y su análisis, partiendo de la ciudad como un ente vivo quien configura el comportamiento y la vida de sus habitantes.

Abstract. “Draw and City” is a plastic and conceptual exploration of the city, its architectural forms, and different possibilities of its urban setting. These aspects are approached with different plastic techniques, such as drawing, photography, video and sculpture/modeling. The results are fictional perspectives that represent different cities and hybrid architectures. “Draw and City” was informed by my research on artists and architects who have historically deepened the understanding of the city. Further, they have thought the city in a utopian way; and have even conceived it as a living entity that dictates the behavior and lives of its inhabitants. Drawing on them, my project contributes yet another perspective on the city.
