Abstract

MEDIUM, ENLAZADOR DE MUNDOS Es un Video objeto que se propone como una ventana virtual para la contemplación de ritmos naturales y artificiales, construyendo un paisaje desde una mirada, fijada en el reflejo de la imagen del entorno, proyectada en las transparencias y opacidades de un domo que deviene en ojo, lente, cerebro, pantalla y cúpula celeste. Un mecanismo catalizador de las latencias entre lo artificial y lo natural que reconfigura y crea otra forma de ver. La imagen proyectada es un video realizado en la intersección de un puente peatonal y vehicular en Bogotá, donde dispongo un domo acrílico transparente que refleja la cúpula celeste, transeúntes y vehículos en un mismo plano de diversidad rítmica, simplificados en movimiento; el de las nubes, los humanos y las máquinas móviles, son invocados bajo un mismo ritmo terráqueo el de la naturaleza que los alberga y al que aceleran. Partiendo de la paradoja de lo que está arriba está abajo y el afuera en el adentro, erijo este mecanismo para descolocar la mirada y las lecturas en la experiencia del encuentro contemplativo.

ABSTRACT MEDIUM: WORLD BRIDGER.It is a Video object that is proposed as a virtual window for the contemplation of natural and artificial rhythms, building a landscape from a look, set in the reflection of the image of the environment, projected on the transparencies and opacities of a dome that becomes in the eye, lens, brain, screen and the celestial dome. A catalytic mechanism of the latencies between the artificial and the natural that reconfigures and creates another way of seeing. The projected image is a video developed at the intersection of pedestrian vehicular bridge in Bogotá, where I bring over a transparent acrylic dome that reflects the celestial cupola, pedestrians and vehicles in the same plane of rhythmic diversity, simplified in moving: the one from the clouds, humans and mobile machinery, are summoned under the same terrestrial rhythm from the nature that shelters and accelerates. Departing from the paradox of what is up is down and the outside on the inside, I rise this mechanism to dislodge the look and the readings in the experience of contemplative encounter.
