Enseñanza de la transmisión del impulso nervioso desde el contexto de la física, la química y la biología, en octavo grado

Abstract

En este documento se presenta el diseño e implementación de una unidad didáctica interdisciplinaria que articula conceptos básicos de la química, física y biología contextualizados en el proceso de conducción y transmisión del impulso nervioso, siendo el modelo pedagógico implementado la enseñanza para la comprensión (EpC). La identificación de las temáticas abordadas se derivó del análisis de la revisión bibliográfica del desarrollo histórico del fenómeno en estudio; la evaluación del material didáctico junto con los resultados obtenidos en la aplicación de los recursos pedagógicos en los años anteriores y la valoración de pre saberes del grupo de prueba. La unidad se divide en tres sesiones en donde se exponen los temas: estructura de la neurona; formación de iones y fenómenos eléctricos; y transmisión y conducción del impulso nervioso. A través de los recursos de heteroevaluación y autoevaluación se determinó el nivel de comprensión del tema en estudio, evidenciándose avances en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes.

Abstract. This document presents a pedagogical proposal in response to the need to validate the concept of axis of knowledge proposed by the PEI of “Institución Educativa Colegio Grancolombiano”. That is consolidated with the design and implementation of a didactic and interdisciplinary unit which articulates basic concepts about chemistry, physics and biology, all of them contextualized within the process of conduction and transmission of the nerve impulse, and being the pedagogical model implemented, Teaching for Understanding. The identification of the issues addressed were derived from the analysis of the literature review of the historical development about the phenomena being studied; the evaluation of the didactic material along with the results obtained in the application of the pedagogical resources in previous years; and the assessment of pre-knowledge of the test group. The unit is divided into three sections where topics about, neuron structure; ion formation and electric phenomena; and transmission and conduction of the nerve impulse, are exposed. The understanding of the topic under study, which was determined by the use of self-assessment and teacher assessment, highlighted the progress in the learning process of the students.
