Abstract: such important authors as Jean Piaget and his theory of cognitive development can extend the vision to be had both in the educational field , as this discipline emphasizing the importance of the use of educational mediator and the need for each student to experience and go building for himself their knowledge and skills . Algebraic balance was chosen to explain the process of solution of the linear equation, using this device through mathematical properties and physical principles. Seeking a teaching that is clear but respecting the rigor with which to teach mathematics.
