Parque arqueológico “Las Piedras de Tunjo”. Escenario de cultura, recreación y valores ecosistémicos

Abstract

El Parque Arqueológico “Las Piedras de Tunjo” es considerado como un área de gran relevancia ancestral para la región. Las manifestaciones rupestres le han dado la importancia patrimonial que lo hacen resaltar a nivel nacional. Sin embargo, su funcionalidad contempla otros aspectos además del cultural. El hecho que sea considerado como parte de la Estructura Ecológica Principal para el municipio de Facatativá y para el departamento de Cundinamarca, así como un lugar para la recreación para los habitantes de la región, le otorgan una relevancia mayor. El presente estudio analiza el paisaje del parque arqueológico, enfatizando en las especies vegetales arbóreas y su significancia frente a la multifuncionalidad del lugar. Se constituye de esta manera en una herramienta para la planificación y la configuración de espacios que posibiliten la articulación de los ámbitos cultural, recreativo y ecosistémico. Las especies vegetales predominantes están desligadas de la funcionalidad e integralidad del espacio, y no resaltan plenamente su valor. Sin embargo esta connotación permite la creación de escenarios para potencializar el cambio en la configuración del entorno y favorecer el arraigo de identidad en la comunidad, de no efectuarse, el acelerado crecimiento y el ritmo desarrollista provocará el detrimento y la pérdida de los valores culturales y ambientales en la región. The Archaeological Park "Las Piedras de Tunjo" is considered as an area of great ancestral relevance for the region. The rock manifestations have given it the patrimonial importance that makes it stand out at national level. However, its functionality contemplates other aspects besides the cultural one. The fact that it is considered as part of the Main Ecological Structure for the municipality of Facatativá and for the department of Cundinamarca, as well as a place for the recreation for the inhabitants of the region, it is granted of a bigger relevance. The present study analyzes the landscape of the archaeological park, emphasizing in the arboreal vegetable species and its significance in front of the multiple functions of the place. In this way, it is constituted in an analytic tool for the planning and the configuration of spaces that facilitate the articulation of the cultural, recreational and ecosystem fields. The predominant vegetable species are untied of the functionality of the space, and they don't stand out their value fully. However this connotation allows the creation of scenarios to strengthen the change in the configuration of the environment and to favor the support of identity in the community, if it is not being made, the quick growth will cause the detriment and the loss of the cultural and environmental values in the region.
