La teoría de clausuras justas (Tigth Closure) o teoría de métodos de característica prima fue inventada en 1985 por M. Hochster y C. Huneke. Esta teoría se ha convertido en una importante herramienta pues enlaza varias ramas del álgebra conmutativa y la geometría algebraica, tales como: el Teorema de Briancon-Skoda, singularidades racionales, conjeturas homológicas y módulos Cohen-Macaulay. / Abstract: The theory of fair closures (Tigth Closure) or theory of prime characteristic method was invented in 1985 by M. Hochster and C. Huneke. This theory has become an important tool as it weaves together several branches of commutative algebra and algebraic geometry, such as the Briancon-Skoda theorem, rational singularities, homological conjecture and Cohen-Macaulay modules.
