Abstract: TThe objective of this didactic proposal was to design a classroom project that would contribute to the teaching of spatial geometry in students of the third grade of elementary school at the Antonio Derka Santo Domingo Educational Institution in Amapolita through the use of didactic material. For such purpose, the constructivist pedagogical model according to Vygotsky, Ausubel's theory of learning and collaborative learning, was taken up again. The methodological path was the design, implementation and assessment of a classroom project that allowed students to learn through the manipulation of concrete didactic material and from the strategy of the laboratory workshop. The participants were 38 students, who were able to understand and master the geometric knowledge using different methods such as visual and tactical identification of figures, objects and geometric shapes, which allowed to strengthen their imagination and approach in a playful way to disciplinary knowledge. The results of the classroom project show that the students were able to improve their response and analysis to the evaluative questions that appear on spatial geometric thinking in the SABER tests
