Abstract: This text is about a critical reading of the conception of art in The Birth of the Tragedy of Nietzsche, as Apollonian and Dionysian artistic instincts. The problem of art in a broad sense and art in the strict sense is approached, to examine the links between the nietzschean conception of art and theater as a living and current practice. The thesis that the aesthetic experience is one where there is knowledge and truth is affirmed.
