Abstract: In this graduation work thesis we can find the following topics. First, a full description about of the different and primitives conceptions about the universe, determined by some ancient civilizations and how these methods, have gone mutating over the years. This will trigger the problem of movement of the planets and its different solutions. Secondly, an investigation is made about several obstacles and difficulties for teaching and learning astronomy, this will allow us to describe the importance of teaching astronomy in the high school education and how it can be organized in relation to the basic standards of sciences. Thirdly, the design and implementation of a set of simulation activities is presented, which is oriented to give an explanation to the occasional and retrograde movement observed in the planets. Finally, the conclusions are presented in reference to the proposed objectives, presenting a position on the topic approached in this work.
