Abstract. A thread that draws meaning is my thesis work of the Master in Plastic and Visual Arts, research in arts that derives from my exploration with tissue. A primary interest is the relationship of weaving and writing, weaving as a construction of individual and collective memory, as a generator of knowledge and thought. My work is based on textile pieces inherited from my great-grandmother and draws on the experience with collective work in seamstresses with embroidery machines from Cartago (Valle) and with victims of the Colombian armed conflict.
