Formas de memoria y olvido en espacios educativos de San Carlos, Antioquía

Abstract

Esta investigación se realizó en dos instituciones educativas públicas, el Centro de Atención para la Reconciliación y Reparación (CARE) y otras tres iniciativas comunitarias de San Carlos, Antioquia. Desde un enfoque cualitativo, con el uso de técnicas de investigación etnográficas, se estudiaron los procesos, agentes y formas de construcción de memoria en las escuelas y lugares comunitarios de memoria. En la comprensión del funcionamiento de la memoria, se encuentra el olvido como parte y contraparte del proceso. La escuela transmite una memoria oficial a través de la enseñanza de la historia, pero a la vez produce olvidos institucionales sobre a la historia local y la historia reciente del conflicto armado. De otro lado, las organizaciones comunitarias construyen una pluralidad de memorias y producen olvidos que contribuyen a la reparación y construcción de paz colectivas. A partir del conocimiento de las formas de memoria y olvido se proponen formas de encuentro pedagógicos que pueden contribuir y retroalimentar las experiencias y propósitos de las instituciones educativas y lugares comunitarios de memoria.

This article presents the results of an investigation made in two official schools, the Care Center for Reconciliation and Repair (CARE) and three other community initiatives in San Carlos, Antioquia. From a qualitative approach with the use of ethnographic research techniques, studied the processes, agents and forms of memory construction in schools and community memory sites. In the understanding of the functioning of memory, forgetting is found as part and counterpart of the process. In the classroom of social sciences founds contents and forms of history teaching that, rather than forms of memory constitute institutional forgetfulness in the school space. The school transmits an official memory through the teaching of history, but at the same time it produces institutional forgetfulness about the local history and recent history of the armed conflict. On the other hand, community organizations build a plurality of memories and produce forgetfulness that contribute to the repair and construction of collective peace. Based on the knowledge of the forms of memory and forgetfulness, the study proposes forms of pedagogical meetings that can contribute and give feedback to the experiences and purposes of the schools and community memory sites.
