Mujeres de zonas urbanas y seguridad alimentaria y nutricional: una relación (no) evidente

Abstract

The constant search for Food and Nutrition Security (FNS) must transcend the way it is currently understood. This research aims to approach new forms of relationship that can occur between women living in urban areas and the FNS concept built by the Observatory of Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security (OBSSAN-UN by its Spanish acronym), applying qualitative methods to collect and analyse the information. The research is carried out with 6 women who lead 5 urban gardens located in different areas of Bogotá. As a result, it was found that women are committed to FNS where alternative proposals to the distribution of food, the construction and strengthening of the social fabric around food and the environment, the positioning of community work and practices that mitigate the small-scale inequality stand out. The contributions of women's bets are framed within the human security and environmental security of the OBSSAN-UN concept.

La búsqueda constante por la Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutricional (SAN) debe trascender la forma en que actualmente se comprende. Esta investigación pretende acercarse a nuevas formas de relación que se pueden dar entre las mujeres que habitan zonas urbanas y el concepto de SAN construido por el Observatorio de Soberanía y Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutricional (OBSSAN-UN), aplicando métodos cualitativos para recolectar y analizar la información. La investigación se realiza con 6 mujeres que lideran 5 huertas urbanas ubicadas en diferentes zonas de Bogotá. Como resultados se encontró que las mujeres tienen apuestas por la SAN donde destacan propuestas alternativas a la distribución de los alimentos, la construcción y fortalecimiento de tejido social en torno a la alimentación y el medio ambiente, el posicionamiento del trabajo comunitario y prácticas que mitigan la desigualdad a pequeña escala. Los aportes de las apuestas de las mujeres se enmarcan en la seguridad humana y la seguridad ambiental del concepto de SAN-OBSSAN.
