De la semilla a la prenda y cómo la Moda ha logrado destruir el mundo que alimenta

Abstract

Enmarqué el proceso de esta tesis dentro de una perspectiva de prácticas artísticas indisciplinadas, prácticas que me ayudaron a incorporar gestos, acciones, denuncias y dispositivos. Formas desarrolladas desde diferentes disciplinas que se fueron interconectando con el arte, de manera que el método y la formación de pensamiento fueran el resultado de la confrontación de subjetividades con las que me he ido topando. Siento que esta multiplicidad buscada fue la que me ayudó a construir el marco crítico y analítico para cuestionar lo que consumimos, el por qué lo consumimos y cómo somos llevados a hacerlo. El contenido de esta caja es una recopilación de elementos que abarcan todo el trabajo y atestiguan el proceso de transformación que he vivido a lo largo de esta tesis. Todas las labores que he desempeñado en este campo (docente, diseñadora, maquilladora, emprendedora) siempre estuvieron en confrontación con mi cuerpo, pero naturalicé dicha contradicción porque di por sentado que había una razón legítima detrás de todo ello, la cual era refrendad por el despliegue de medios que lo anuncian. Analizar, cuestionar y desinstalar esa lógica fue el primer paso de este trabajo. Lo que sigue es una selección de reflexiones, algunas hiladas y otras no, que surgieron durante este proceso. I framed the process of this thesis within a perspective of undisciplined artistic practices, practices that helped me to incorporate gestures, actions, complaints and devices. Forms developed from different disciplines that were interconnected with art, so that the method and the formation of thought were the result of the confrontation of subjectivities that I have been encountering. I feel that this multiplicity sought was what helped me to build the critical and analytical framework to question what we consume, why we consume it and how we are led to do it. The content of this box is a compilation of elements that cover all the work and testify to the transformation process that I have lived throughout this thesis. All the tasks that I have performed in this field (teacher, designer, makeup artist, entrepreneur) were always in confrontation with my body, but I naturalized this contradiction because I assumed that there was a legitimate reason behind all this, which was endorsed by the deployment of media that announce it. Analyzing, questioning, and uninstalling that logic was the first step in this work. What follows is a selection of reflections, some streamlined and some not, that emerged during this process.
