Abstract

MARICA: Una condición, un sentir y un danzar. Es por esto que, en esta versión, el texto que acompaña a el gesto se va a dividir en dos partes. En la primera parte se encontrará todo lo que he desarrollado desde una búsqueda de la materialidad de lo que en una primera instancia fue el gesto y lo encontrado a lo largo de la maestría, en relación con la búsqueda de los testimonios de personas con VIH y de la comunidad lgbtiq+, la creación de un espacio con elementos sonoros y visuales (lápidas, ataúd, flores, papeles, carteles, freses, vestuarios, maquillaje, luces, etc.), así como los ensayos de las coreografías del vougue. También se habla en constancia de lo que he trabajado para llegar a hablar de una búsqueda íntima sobre lo que es ser Marica y tener VIH en mi círculo social, dejando en evidencia que se trata de un movimiento subjetivo e íntimo y en relación con una búsqueda de lo popular. En la segunda parte se encontrará una nueva dinámica de conceptualizar y desarrollar un nuevo gesto, en donde se parte de la necesidad de hacer un revolcón de lo que se hizo con anterioridad. Si bien lo alcanzado hasta ese momento fue de gran importancia, se consideró necesario darle un mayor dinamismo a los temas trabajados como lo son el cuerpo, la danza y claramente en relación con lo que es el ser Marica y tener VIH, con una nueva mirada y puesta en escena. Es así como los invito a que lean este texto con el mayor de los detalles y puedan reflejarse en las dinámicas que se proponen en este trabajo el cual se construyó en la maestría de la séptima cohorte de la MITAV y se elaboró en medio de la pandemia del COVID-19. MARICA: A condition, a feeling and a dance. That is why, in this version, the text that accompanies the gesture will be divided into two parts. In the first part you will find everything that I have developed from a search for the materiality of what in the first instance was the gesture and what I found throughout the master's degree, in relation to the search for the testimonies of people with HIV and the lgbtiq+ community, the creation of a space with sound and visual elements (tombstones, coffin, flowers, papers, posters, strawberries, costumes, makeup, lights, etc.), as well as the rehearsals of the choreographies of the vougue. It also speaks in constancy of what I have worked to get to talk about an intimate search about what it is to be Queer and to have HIV in my social circle, making it clear that it is a subjective and intimate movement and in relation to a search for the popular. In the second part we will find a new dynamic of conceptualizing and developing a new gesture, where the starting point is the need to make a revolution of what was done before. Although what had been achieved up to that moment was of great importance, it was considered necessary to give a greater dynamism to the themes worked on, such as the body, dance and clearly in relation to what it is to be queer and have HIV, with a new look and staging. This is how I invite you to read this text with the greatest of details and can be reflected in the dynamics proposed in this work which was built in the mastery of the seventh cohort of the MITAV and was developed in the midst of the pandemic of COVID-19.
