Grafo: expandir desde el otro

Abstract

El proyecto surge de mi interés por la función de las artes graficas tradicionales, en especial en el grabado de linóleo y el tatuaje en el mundo contemporáneo.

Me preguntaba como se ha venido transformando esta tradición de las artes graficas a partir de distintas herramientas que han surgido con el paso del tiempo, donde la disponibilidad de soportes como el video, la piel, entre otros ha cuestionado el proceso y el resultado de la imagen gráfica.

Dentro del proyecto una conexión de contenidos visuales que había venido trabajando alrededor de la línea con varios soportes y lenguajes como el video, cuando hacia recorridos creando una sola línea sobre el suelo, las derivas a partir de desplazamientos y los encuentros, la tinta sobre la piel cuando hago un tatuaje, rayar un vidrio, o dibujar sobre papel.

Grafo hace una relación entre la escritura y lo encuentros de dibujo, donde la marca, la fotografía y las historias, se desarrollan alrededor de la línea como punto de inicio del proyecto además de la ilustración y encuentros de bitácora como proceso y producto de la muestra donde todos los procesos fueron recolectados en la idea de museo, dispositivo que unió los diversos hallazgos a partir de la línea como elemento principal de creación. The project comes from my interest in the role of traditional graphic arts, especially in linoleum engraving and tattooing in the contemporary art world.

I was wondering how this tradition of graphic arts has been transformed from different tools that have emerged over the time, where the are available different media such as video or the skin, among others, that has questioned the process and the result of the graphic image.

In the project there are visual connections that I had been working around the line with various supports and languages such as the video, the action of walking and making a single line on the ground, the displacements and foundings of the way, the ink on the skin when I make a tattoo, the scratching on a glass, or a drawing on the paper.

Grafo makes a relationship between writing and the connection with the drawing, where the mark or scratch, the photography and the stories are developed around the line as the starting point of the project, as well as the illustration and the process in the sketchbook as a result where all the processes were collected as museum, a space that collected the various findings from the line as the main element of creation.
