Estrategias gerenciales orientadas a la reducción de contaminación atmosférica por material particulado en la localidad de Kennedy, ciudad de Bogotá D.C

Abstract

La contaminación atmosférica por material particulado es un problema presente a nivel mundial y local. Según la Organización Panamericana de la Salud, Bogotá es el tercer centro urbano con mayores niveles de contaminación atmosférica en América Latina, siendo el material particulado, uno de los que con frecuencia exceden los estándares establecidos, con implicaciones negativas para la salud humana. Esta investigación se dirige específicamente a la localidad de Kennedy, la segunda localidad más poblada del distrito y catalogada como la más contaminada por PM según la Secretaria Distrital de Ambiente y el Observatorio Ambiental de Bogotá (2018). A partir del desarrollo de un estudio de investigación descriptivo, se identifican las características de esta problemática y su contexto, así como las acciones y la gestión gubernamental realizada por la administración local para mitigar sus efectos negativos, para, finalmente, proponer estrategias y acciones a nivel gerencial orientadas a reducir los niveles de contaminación atmosférica por material particulado PM10 y PM2.5 en la localidad de Kennedy, Bogotá D.C. Atmospheric pollution by particulate matter is a problem present at the global and local levels. According to the Pan American Health Organization, Bogotá is the third urban center with the highest levels of air pollution in Latin America, of which frequently exceed established standards is one, with negative implications for human health. This research is specifically aimed at the town of Kennedy, the second most populated town in the district, but also listed as the most polluted by PM according to the District Environment Secretariat and the Bogotá Environmental Observatory (2018). Based on the development of a descriptive research study, identifying the characteristics and its context, as well as the actions and government management carried out by the local administration to reduce the negative effects, in order to, finally, propose management strategies and actions aimed to reduce the levels of air pollution by PM10 and PM2.5 particulate matter in Kennedy, of Bogotá D.C.
