Resumen
La voz quebrada es la huella, o proceso escritural, donde se registra el proceso del gesto, o creación escénica, que lleva el mismo nombre: La voz quebrada. Este libro y la performance constituyen la tesis de grado de Margarita Roa Vargas en la Maestría Interdisciplinar de Teatro y Artes Vivas de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
Esta es la huella de dos años esbozando un proceso escénico. Esta es una obra en construcción, un experimento, un cuaderno de notas de conversaciones con autores, colegas, compañeres y profesores, que alberga también múltiples laboratorios, ensayos, fracasos y hallazgos.
Así como la propuesta escénica La voz quebrada está llena de intuición y de espontaneidad, así también se construyen estas conversaciones, estos no-saberes, este tejido de potencias creativas y afectivas que atraviesan la vergüenza, la vulnerabilidad, el humor y el pulso vital.
La artista encuentra gracias a estas escrituras, a diferentes acciones y al sudor de su cuerpo en movimiento, una nueva manera de habitar la escena: crea una plataforma de improvisación que transita con los ojos cerrados, apoyada por artistas colaboradores, donde surge el tacto como protagonista y donde emerge la fragilidad de un canto desafinado, que por fin se hace audible. Abstract
The Trembling Voice is the trace, or process of writing, which records the gesture, or the creation of a performance work bearing the same name: The Trembling Voice (La voz quebrada). Together, the book and performance constitute the graduate thesis of Margarita Roa Vargas in the Interdisciplinary Master's Program in Theater and Live Arts in The National University of Colombia.
This is the trace of two years of drafting a process of performance. This is a work in progress, an experiment, a notebook full of conversations with authors, colleagues, companions and professors, also containing multiple laboratories, rehearsals, failures, and discoveries.
The same intuition and spontaneity that permeate the scenic proposal of The Trembling Voice inform the creation of these conversations, these unknowings, this fabric of creative and affective powers which pass through shame, vulnerability, humor, and the pulse of life.
Through these writings, a range of actions, and the sweat of her body in movement, the artist encounters a new way of inhabiting performance: creating a platform of improvisation that she moves through with her eyes closed, aided by collaborating artists, in which touch establishes itself as a protagonist and in which the fragility emerges from an off-key tune that, in the end, becomes audible.
