The goal of this study is to make a bibliographic review about the traditional medicine therapies currently available for the treatment of AGA, reviewing the pathophysiological mechanisms according to traditional medical systems and compiling their different therapeutic approaches to propose management recommendations. A search was carried out in the SCIENCE DIRECT, PUBMED, MEDLINE, DYNAMED databases, direct results and cross-search based references were used, everything from well recognized sources in the area of medicine. The method used was qualitative analysis, with the goal of searching, identifying, organizing and reporting the traditional therapies registered in the databases with the elucidated mechanism of action, in order to provide recommendations according to availability in Colombia.
