The objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a group intervention based on Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT) in improving psychological well-being and reducing psychological inflexibility in Colombian university students. A pilot study with a mixed-method, pre-experimental design was conducted at the National University of Colombia during 2024. The sample consisted of 13 students who participated in a three-session FACT workshop, each session lasting two hours. The evaluation included standard instruments to measure psychological inflexibility (AAQ-II, VQ, CFQ, MAAS) and psychological well-being (EBP), as well as semi-structured interviews and subjective experience logs from participants, administered before and after the intervention. Quantitative results indicated significant differences (p<.05) in pre- and post-intervention measures, showing an increase in well-being (EBP p=.013; r=.8) and a reduction in inflexibility (AAQ-II p=.042*; r=.84, VQ-O p=.031*; r=.81, VQ-P p=.027*; r=.87). Qualitative data revealed changes in personal narratives toward greater acceptance, effective use of self-compassion, and alignment of their actions with personal values. Additionally, the intervention was perceived as valuable and useful by participants. The conclusions suggest that the FACT-based intervention has the potential to improve psychological well-being and reduce psychological inflexibility indicators. These findings contribute to empirical knowledge of contextual therapies and their application in educational settings.eng
