La Relación entre el Patriarcado y el Militarismo en la Política de Defensa y Seguridad Democrática (2002-2004)

Abstract

Esta tesis, analiza la relación que establecen el patriarcado y el militarismo, entendidos como sistemas de opresión, en el discurso oficial de formulación y posicionamiento en la agenda pública de la Política de Defensa y Seguridad Democrática en Colombia en el periodo 2002-2004. Para ello, caracteriza al patriarcado y al militarismo, así como también, establece unas características que vinculan ambos sistemas, estas son: la producción de dicotomías jerarquizantes, la construcción de una relación en torno a la protección, y la imbricación que estos sistemas tienen con el capitalismo. Posteriormente, analiza el contexto nacional e internacional de la producción del discurso oficial de la política pública de la seguridad democrática, para finalmente, describir la presencia en ese discurso oficial de las características que vinculan el patriarcado con el militarismo, usando elementos metodológicos del análisis crítico del discurso.

Abstract: This thesis analyses the relationship established between patriarchy and militarism, understood both as systems of oppression. Those systems are analysed in the official speech of formulation and positioning in the public agenda of the Policy of Defense and Democratic Security in Colombia in the period 2002-2004. Chapter 1 characterizes patriarchy and militarism as separated systems and later, recognises a few characteristics that link both systems, these are: the production of dichotomies and hierarchies, the construction of a relation around to the idea of protection, and the overlap that these systems have with the capitalism. Chapter 2, examines the national and international context of the production of the official speech of the public policy of the Democratic Security. And chapter 3, describes the presence of the characteristics that link patriarchy and militarism, in the speech of the public policy by using methodological elements of the critical analysis of the speech.
