dc.description.abstractA web accessibility assessment model is proposing in this thesis, that is aimed at identifying the degree of accessibility of a page for certain disability profiles, which are made up of the type of disability and the assistive technology required for their interaction. The model defines necessary barriers and steps for their identification, as well as, priority that allows to determine how important a barrier is for that profile level. After that, the evaluation process is executed, it is possible to determine the percentage of accessibility offered on the website for each profile evaluated. For model validation, a case study was carried out where four disability profiles were taken into account, identifying important differences between the barriers for each profile and percentages of accessibility between them. In addition, the versatility of the model was demonstrated by allowing evaluation with different profiles, barrier sets and priority levels.spa
dc.description.abstractLas personas en condición de discapacidad requieren que los contenidos y servicios disponibles en la web cumplan con ciertas características para facilitar su acceso. Debido a esta necesidad existen diferentes iniciativas que dan lineamientos para orientar la construcción de sitios web accesibles, al igual que métodos o estrategias para su respectiva evaluación con el objetivo de verificar el nivel de accesibilidad que se brinda. Sin embargo, el enfoque de evaluación más ampliamente utilizado verificar el cumplimiento de lineamientos de accesibilidad web que son de carácter general y no analiza las barreras o problemas específicos para un determinado tipo de discapacidad. En esta tesis se propone un modelo de evaluación de accesibilidad web que está orientado a identificar el grado de accesibilidad de una página para determinados perfiles de discapacidad, los cuales están conformados por el tipo de discapacidad y la tecnología asistiva requerida para su interacción. En el modelo se definen las barreras y los pasos necesarios para su identificación, además un nivel de prioridad que permite determinar qué tan importante es una barrera para ese perfil. Una vez ejecutado el proceso de evaluación, es posible determinar el porcentaje de accesibilidad que se ofrece en el sitio web para cada perfil evaluado. Para la validación del modelo se realizó un caso de estudio donde se tuvieron en cuenta cuatro perfiles de discapacidad, identificando importantes diferencias entre las barreras para cada perfil y porcentajes de accesibilidad entre ellos. Además, se demostró la versatilidad del modelo al permitir la evaluación con diferentes perfiles, conjuntos de barreras y niveles de prioridad. (Texto tomado de la fuente)spa
