Resumen
Con el objetivo de mejorar el desempeño académico de los estudiantes de la I.E. Fundadores de la ciudad de Medellín, se diseñó un proyecto de aula que potencializa y desarrolla el uso del laboratorio de química y biología, el cual ofrece una serie de posibilidades y herramientas que brindan la oportunidad de fortalecer el proceso de aprendizaje de la química. Con ello se pretende lograr en el estudiante la adquisición de habilidades para el debate crítico, el trabajo colaborativo, el aprendizaje significativo y el desarrollo de competencias científicas y experimentales; a la vez que le permite al docente explorar nuevas alternativas y propuestas que ayuden a enriquecer su labor dentro del aula y en el laboratorio.
Los resultados obtenidos evidenciaron los aprendizajes alcanzados por los estudiantes que hicieron uso del laboratorio y de las guías para la realización de los diferentes productos lácteos, a la vez que se hace una comparación antes y después de la interacción para evidenciar el cambio en el aprendizaje y la asimilación de conceptos por parte de los estudiantes del grado 11 de la institución, resaltando la importancia de mejorar el modelo tradicional de la enseñanza y llevarlo a una práctica más sensorial y experimental

Aiming of improving the academic performance of the students of the School Fundadores of the Medellin city, a classroom project was designed that strengthens and develops the use of the chemistry and biology laboratory, which offers a series of possibilities and tools that provide the opportunity to strengthen the chemistry learning process. The aim is to achieve in the student the acquisition of skills for critical debate, collaborative work, meaningful learning and the development of scientific and experimental skills; At the same time it allows the teacher to explore new alternatives and proposals that help enrich their work in the classroom and in the laboratory. The results obtained evidenced the learning achieved by the students who made use of the laboratory and the guides for the realization of the different dairy products, at the same time that a comparison is made before and after the interaction to show the change in learning and the assimilation of concepts by the students of grade 11 of the institution, highlighting the importance of improving the traditional model of teaching and taking it to a more sensory and experimental practice
