Prácticas de crianza y habilidades sociales mediadas por regulación emocional en adolescentes

| dc.description.abstract | Esta tesis de maestría se enfoca en examinar cómo las prácticas de crianza influyen en las habilidades sociales de adolescentes de entre 13 y 15 años, mediadas por su capacidad para manejar y regular sus emociones. Para ello, se realizó un estudio transversal de enfoque cuantitativo, en el que participaron 240 madres y padres, junto con sus hijos, pertenecientes a dos instituciones educativas de la ciudad de Bogotá (una pública y una privada). Se aplicaron tres cuestionarios de autoinforme, uno dirigido a los padres y dos a los adolescentes, enfocados en la regulación emocional y las habilidades sociales. Los datos recolectados fueron analizados mediante Modelamiento de Ecuaciones Estructurales (Structural Equation Modeling [SEM], por su sigla en inglés). Los resultados indicaron una relación significativa entre las prácticas de crianza y la regulación emocional de los adolescentes, así como, entre la regulación emocional y las habilidades sociales. No obstante, no se encontró un efecto indirecto de las prácticas de crianza en las habilidades sociales a través de la regulación emocional, lo que sugiere la ausencia de una mediación. | dc.description.abstract | This master’s thesis focuses on examining how parenting practices influence the social skills of adolescents aged 13 to 15, mediated by their ability to manage and regulate their emotions. To this end, a cross-sectional, quantitative study was conducted with the participation of 240 mothers and fathers and their children, enrolled in two schools in Bogotá (one public and one private). Three self-report questionnaires were administered: one to parents and two to adolescents, assessing emotional regulation and social skills. The data collected were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results indicated a significant relationship between parenting practices and adolescents’ emotional regulation, as well as between emotional regulation and social skills. However, no indirect effect of parenting practices on social skills through emotional regulation was found, suggesting the absence of a mediation effect. | eng |
