Entorno familiar y social en un grupo de mujeres adolescentes con intento suicida de la localidad de Kennedy

Abstract

La presente investigación describe las condiciones familiares y sociales de mujeres adolescentes de una institución educativa pública de Bogotá en la localidad de Kennedy, que tuvieron intento suicida. Se hizo énfasis en las relaciones que se construyeron al interior de las familias y sus entornos sociales, ampliando los conocimientos desde el enfoque sistémico en las dinámicas familiares y sociales en adolescentes. El estudio conoció y analizó los aspectos referentes al entorno social y el tipo de relaciones y estructuras familiares que estaban presentes en las adolescentes que tuvieron intento suicida. Se enmarcó dentro de la investigación cualitativa, buscó la comprensión interpretativa de experiencias de mujeres adolescentes con intento suicida a partir de información descriptiva, utilizando diferentes métodos de indagación: como entrevistas semiestructuradas, grupo focal, cartografía social y mapeo de actores. Como resultado, se obtuvo que las relaciones y dinámicas familiares conflictivas afectan de manera directa a las adolescentes convirtiéndose en un factor de riesgo para el intento suicida; asimismo en los entornos se evidenció que no es la familia la primera red de apoyo sino los amigos o el colegio, se identificó que algunos espacios físicos songeneradores de situaciones de riesgo como consumo de sustancias psicoactivas; asimismo se identificaron sus redes de apoyo y espacios más cercanas y distantes en ese tránsito de su vida. Se concluye que el intento suicida debe ser abordado desde los entornos sociales, familiares e individuales como medida de prevención

Abstract: SummaryThis paper describes the family conditions of teenagers (female) that had attempted suicide in a public educationalinstitution of Bogotá located in the Kennedy Borough. It emphasized in the relations that they built within the family and their social environment. The analysis of this qualitative research is based on a systemic approach, which allowed expanding the knowledge regardingthe family and social dynamics in teenagers. The study analyzed the relations of the family and social environment in the suicidal attempt event. I have researched different socio-cultural aspects of the social environments and the typeof relations and family structures that were present in the teenagers who had committed the suicidal attempt.The study, guided by the principles of the qualitative research, searched for the interpretive comprehension of experiences of teenagers with suicidal attempt from descriptive information, using different research methods such as semi-structured interviews, focal groups, social cartography and mapping of actors.As a result, I found out that conflictive relationships and family dynamics affect theteenagers in a direct way, turning into a factor of risk for the suicidal attempt. I also found out that their main social support is not their family, but their friends or school. I identified the physical spaces and the people that they considered the closest and further support networks at this difficult point in their life. I conclude that the approach to the suicidal attempt must be made from the social, family and individual environments.
