Resumen
Abstract
This final master's thesis understands the discipline of urban design and its evolution from the 20th century to the present day, in relation to the construction of urban space and its impact on a type of thinking that spatially constructs the city through normative and architectural aspects. Through its different actors, the urban space is constructed by means of scenarios that generate certain factors of affectation and lack for the construction of cities, due to the predominantly architectural vision and its normative standard present in the development of cities today. This is mainly focused on a standardized norm and land use planning that limits the spatial conditions of the city in relation to the physical context and the pedestrian. The deepening of this main idea is focused on the study and analysis of the morphotipological conditions developed under a proposal of central spatial structure, with the objective of creating new alternatives of urban design through scales and variables of form and typology, as a priority for spatial development, which represent values and identity characteristics for each space habitable by pedestrians. The previous is given mainly through a methodology that goes "from the particular to the general", where its study starts from the conditions at the pedestrian's first level analyzed from different points of reflection, which for this master's thesis act as theoretical, spatial, functional, compositional, and design characteristics, among others. As a priority in spatial development and its reflection for detail in solving the problem through elements and their morphotipological transformation for design, understanding cities from the scale of the pedestrian to the consolidation of the general area to be intervened, finding under this idea an identity for the user according to the perception of the place and the needs according to its context.
This is supported by the investigative basis of historical antecedents of the discipline of urban design that provide a guideline and base guidelines for the proposal to be developed.
