El suicidio en el discurso contemporáneo

Abstract

El presente trabajo se preocupa por dar cuenta de la tensión palpable que existe entre unas nuevas representaciones del suicidio que parecen dejar de lado el tabú, e incluso lo incitarían, y una gran apuesta por la prevención del fenómeno. La tesis se divide en dos grandes apartados que se preguntan, el primero, por ¿qué del discurso empuja a la muerte? Haciendo un análisis de la subjetividad de la época que va desde pensar el lazo social en el discurso capitalista, hasta leer al suicidio en las coordenadas de las operaciones de alienación y separación. El segundo, se pregunta ¿Cuáles son las causas del fracaso de la apuesta institucional por la prevención del suicidio? Dando cuenta de sus presupuestos epistémicos, económicos y políticos, en los que se desconoce el lugar del síntoma, como expresión del sujeto, en tanto objetor del discurso. Con el apoyo de la teoría y la clínica psicoanalíticas, se reflexiona sobre el lugar del suicidio en la contemporaneidad, llegando a una polémica síntesis integradora que postula que “el suicidio histeriza al discurso”. The present work is concerned in demonstrate the palpable tension that exists between certain new representations of suicide, which seem to leave aside the taboo and would even incite it, and a grand commitment to the prevention of the phenomenon. The thesis is divided into two large sections. The first one asks: what aspects of discourse pushes out to death? This question demanded an analysis about the subjectivity of our time, starting from thinking the social link on the capitalist discourse, to reading suicide through coordinates of the alienation and separation operations. The second one asks: what are the causes of the failure of the institutional commitment for suicide prevention? We examine its epistemic, economic, and political presupposition, which unknown the place of the symptom like a subject’s expression, as an objector of the discourse. With the support of theoretical and clinical psychoanalysis, we reflect on the place of the suicide on contemporaneity, reaching an integrative, but controversial synthesis that posits that “suicide hysterizes the discourse”.
