Resumen
Plantación Adentro es un proyecto de investigación creación que se materializa en un performance transmedia y un fotolibro. El proyecto escritural da cuenta de las memorias de infancia que transcurrieron en un ingenio azucarero en el Valle del Cauca, región de Colombia conocida por sus grandes extensiones de tierra sembradas con caña de azúcar. Aquí se yuxtaponen imágenes de archivo familiar, fotografías documentales y autorretratos que reflejan el pasado y el presente de este lugar, que por un lado cuestionan la imagen fotográfica y su materialidad, y por otro la doble imagen que genera la memoria y que también se hace presente en el olvido y sus vestigios. El territorio es el eje central donde busco atravesar preguntas en relación al trabajo, la explotación de la tierra, la fábrica, la memoria, la materialidad de la imagen y los contraplanos de las múltiples voces que aquí co-habitan. Abstract
Plantación Adentro is a research-creation project that materializes in a transmedia performance and a photobook. The photobook is a recollection of childhood memories that took place in a worker’s residence of a sugarcane plantation in the Valle del Cauca, a region in Colombia known for its vast areas of land planted with sugarcane. Images of family archives, documentary photographs and self-portraits reflecting the past and the present are juxtaposed with each other, thereby questioning the materiality of the photographic image and the double image generated by our memory, which is also present in forgetfulness and its remains. This territory is the main axis where I seek to explore questions related to work, exploitation of land, the factory as a place of convergence, memory, the materiality of images and the multiple voices coexisting there.
